Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

HTMLtoWP is committed to providing a website and service that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We actively work to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and hold ourselves to the standards outlined below.

Conformance Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and other disabilities.

While we strive for full compliance, we recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort and some areas of the site may not yet fully meet every guideline.

Measures We Have Taken

We have implemented the following measures to support accessibility across our website:

  • Semantic HTML — Use of headings hierarchy, navigation landmarks, header, and footer elements to provide page structure for assistive technologies
  • Color contrast — Primary text and interactive elements are designed with high contrast ratios against dark backgrounds
  • Alternative text — Images include descriptive alt text; icons are rendered as unicode characters rather than images
  • Responsive design — The site adapts to different screen sizes, orientations, and zoom levels using flexible layouts and media queries
  • Focus indicators — Custom focus styles are provided for form inputs; buttons and links retain browser default focus indicators
  • No motion dependence — The site does not rely on gestures, motion, or swipe-based interactions as the only means of operation

Generated WordPress Themes

The WordPress themes generated by our conversion tool are built with accessibility in mind. We make reasonable efforts to ensure generated themes include semantic markup, skip-to-content links, and keyboard-navigable menus. However, the accessibility of the final theme also depends on the structure and content of the original HTML provided by the user. We recommend testing your generated theme with accessibility tools before deploying it to production.

Third-Party Content

Our website integrates third-party services such as PayPal for payment processing and Google Analytics for usage measurement. While we choose providers that maintain their own accessibility standards, we do not have direct control over the accessibility of their interfaces or embedded content.

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, the following limitations currently exist:

  • Some form inputs (such as the URL field, HTML paste area, and chat input) rely on placeholder text rather than visible labels
  • The file upload drop zone may not be fully keyboard-accessible in all browsers
  • Dynamic content updates (such as conversion progress and error messages) may not be announced to screen readers in all cases
  • The live theme preview (iframe) may not be fully accessible to screen readers, as its content varies based on user input
  • Some third-party interfaces (such as PayPal checkout) may have their own accessibility limitations outside our control

We are aware of these gaps and are working to improve them over time.
